As men age, the body’s natural production of testosterone hormonal levels
decreases usually starting at the age of 30. The production rate continues to
decrease by an average of 1% every year for the rest of a man’s life. The natural
aging process, in addition to problems affecting the health of the testes, can lead to
Hypogonadism or Secondary Hypogonadism (when caused by a problem in the
Hypothalamus or Pituitary gland). These conditions are commonly referred to as
“Low Testosterone” or “Low T”.
